-Find external and internal forces caused by being rich  in natural resources
eg. for internal, powerful groups lobby the gov’t for favors, rich economies fall prey to Dutch disease
eg.for externa,l structuralists, theory of comparative advantage, infant industry argument

-Take Specific countries and demonstrate (eg.  Democratic Republic of Congo known as Zaire, Ivory Coast, Nigeria….)
